Making the Most of Your Cold-Pressed Juice Cleanse
Before Your Cleanse…
It’s always best to prepare for your cleanse by adopting a vegetarian or vegan diet 2-3 days before you begin. No meat, dairy, caffeine, fried or highly processed foods. Complex carbs are fine. The more fruits and vegetables, the better!
Drink plenty of water before and during your cleanse! No caffeine, no sodas or sugary drinks, and no alcohol (unless you enjoy excruciating hangovers!).
We recommend starting your day by drinking warm water with lemon, or an herbal tea. Drink your first juice whenever you would have your first meal of the day. Enjoy your next juice every 2 hours or so. If you wish, you may have an herbal tea before bed, after your last juice of the day.
Our juices will provide all the nutrients you need throughout the day. However, if you find yourself overwhelmed by hunger, there’s no shame in snacking on a small serving of a raw fruit or vegetables.
Breaking Your Cleanse…
You should break your cleanse gradually to avoid shocking your system. Begin by adding fruit, greens and veggies, then slowly incorporate items from your normal diet. Be sure to leave meat, dairy and harder to digest foods for last.
