Each Kale Me Crazy location makes its base ingredients from scratch (fresh almond milk, anyone?!) and works with surrounding vendors to source quality ingredients. This is core to Kale Me Crazy and something we never budge on. This high-quality standard extends to our variety of meal options. Kale Me Crazy’s menu is constantly evolving to offer new and exciting recipes. At the end of the day, it comes down to taste. No matter how healthy it is, customers are not going to pay for a product that does not taste good. Our juices, smoothies, salads, and wraps keep our customers coming back for more.
Kale Me Crazy was born out of a personal desire by our Founder and CEO, Roi Shlomo, to change his diet. Several years ago, a documentary about GMOs (genetically modified organisms) changed his life. He learned of additives, growth hormones, and other chemically altered processes prominent in the food industry so he set out to fulfill an all-organic diet that included smoothies and juices. What surprised him was there were so few places to eat this way, and when he did find one, the food wasn’t good.
So he set forth and began working on recipes in his kitchen for a new franchise concept. He wanted everyone to have healthy food choices. At the time, he was the owner and franchisor of Yogli Mogli, a frozen yogurt franchise popular in the southeast. For two years he devoted as much time as possible creating recipes for nutritious foods that tasted good.
In the winter of 2013, Kale Me Crazy was born. The concept was different and innovative and public demand has been amazing! Once our doors opened, community excitement for healthy options gained momentum. In the last year, our stores have grown rapidly with an abundance of regulars and we’ve tripled in growth. People are hungry for real food and they come in droves. Our popularity has allowed the business to grow rapidly. Healthy eating is not a fad. Read more about our brand. Come to us with your questions. We look forward to getting to know you.
